What is a Mighty Man?

1 Kings 2:1-3

   As David's time to die drew near, he charged Solomon his son, saying,
 " I am going the way of all the earth.  Be strong, therefore, and show yourself a man.
  "Keep the charge of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His ordinances, and His testimonies, according to what is written in the Law of Moses, that you may succeed in all that you do and wherever you turn…”

In the society we live in there are many different ideas about what it takes to be a real man. True men love their God, take responsibility for what is theirs and enjoy God’s favor as sons.

God has already created you to be a man, you don’t have to become something you are not. The problem  with manhood in our culture is that there are conflicting and distorted messages being proclaimed to you everyday.  Mighty Men wants to help you understand and live out your destiny as a Christian man!                                                                                

                 The Kingdom of God has a pattern for manhood that is powerful and fulfilling.  This pattern is clearly shown in God’s Word, and was modeled for us in the life of Jesus!  As you become conformed more and more to the image of Christ you will   naturally become an awesome husband, father, employer and example to the world around you.

God intends for you to  enjoy being a man, and Mighty Men desires to help you do just that. You will be provided with constant opportunities to grow and succeed in manhood, and have strong  relationships with friends in Christ that you love being with. There are regular opportunities to have loads of fun including men’s retreats,  recreational outings, hunting and fishing events, and special trips of interest to men. What are you waiting for?  WOMEN  of  WORTH / MONDAYS (times vary)

            In our culture there are many opinions about what a valueable woman looks like today.  Some say that value comes from beauty, a superior education, or a sucessful career.  The TRUTH is that the true worth of a woman comes from her fear of the Lord.  Women of Worth fear the Lord, have a passion to see the Kingdom of God arrive, and take pleasure in worshipping their God extravagantly. 

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." Proverbs 31:30

The Women of Worth Ministry at KLF gives women a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  It gives them a place to mature as women, build uplifting relationships, and be in the presence of God.  These times include practical lessons on sujects like organization, cooking skills, etc., as well as spiritual teachings in areas like forgiveness and grace.  In addition, there times of testimony and FUN, each month.  Women of Worth (WoW) is designed to provide spiritual growth for women from all walks of life.  Homemakers, young mothers, working women, singles, marrieds, and older women are all encouraged to to attend.
